Satpayev University remembers the history of our country

In the first days of June, the Department of Social Studies and the Scientific Library named after J.S. Yerzhanov organized a round table on the topic “The tragedy of the bloody years”.

The speakers of the round table included members of the commission for the full rehabilitation of victims of political repression, established in 2020 by decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, research scientists: Altynai Mukhambedyarova, Bolat Kabdushev, Yerkin Ermukhanov, Dosaly Salkynbek, Almazhan Utegaliyeva, Dinara Ryskildinova and political scientist Kadir Nurgalym, satpayev expert Aspandiyar Omirbekov.

Among the listeners of the round table were teachers of the Institute of Basic Education, employees of the Historical Museum named after J.S. Yerzhanov and guests.

A lively discussion took place, the participants of the round table shared their views and concepts, presented archival documents, published collections and works of members of the commission. Dosaly Salkynbek donated his book “Feat and Tragedy” to the university library.

At the end of the meeting, the moderator of the round table, Turlybek Tumabayev, summed up the results and thanked the speakers and the audience.
