Students of Satbayev University took the military oath to the Republic of Kazakhstan
On June 9, the third-year students of Satbayev University, who completed their studies at the Military Institute, took the military oath and vowed to faithfully serve and defend their Motherland. The solemn ceremony was held under the command of the new director of the Military Institute of Satbayev University, General Bulat Darbekov. The Control Officer of Rector Berik Mukhtybayev, teachers and veterans of the Military Institute, parents of students took part in the ceremony.
“Today, 516 cadets took the oath” said General Bulat Darbekov. - These are the third-year students, who literally in 10 days will complete the course of military science. They will continue their studies at the University, and a year after passing the final examinations and the diploma defence, they will be proclaimed by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the rank of “lieutenant” and enlisted in the mobilization reserve.
At the military department, we are preparing officers of the air defense, giving students a military profession related to their specialty. However, we are trying to make them not a soldiers, but people who would deeply understand why they came to the military department, why they study at the university, the patriots of their Motherland. The team is making best efforts to release from the walls of the department conscientious, faithful to their Motherland students, who in the future will be enrolled in the military reserve of our country. ”
Lieutenant-General Bulat Kerimzhanovich Darbekov is the new head of the Institute of Military Affairs of Satbayev University. A cadre soldier, he served 34 years in the military landing troops, passed positions from platoon commander to deputy commander of a tank division, has 120 parachute jumps.
“During four years I served as First Deputy Minister of Defense, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, because of this I received an assignment to work with the military department, to make some innovations in the learning process, to improve the moral and ethical situation in the team. With all of the necessary changes, we will preserve the rich traditions of the department, which were laid by many generations of officer-teachers. Over the past years, the military department has released thousands of cadets, 70 of them during the Soviet Union reached the rank of General, more than 20 became Generals in independent Kazakhstan. We are proud of all our graduates. ”
Within the framework of the solemn ceremony, General BD Darbekov was awarded with the medal "100 years of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army" by the command of the military unit 73652.
The holiday ended with a marching drill and a solemn rally dedicated to the taking of the military oath. Veterans of the department and the best cadets spoke out at the rally. The students accepted congratulations from teachers and parents, took photos in order to remember happily one of the significant days of their university life.
