Subsoil in high resolution: Satbayev University has signed Collaboration Memorandum with Stride

On November 7, Stryde delegation visited Satbayev University, presenting its innovative seismic exploration technology. Rector of Satbayev University and Stryde’s commercial director Cameron Grant signed Collaboration Memorandum. Within its framework, the company will provide sets of equipment for practical training of students in seismic exploration.

"We are glad to share the technology," Mr. Grant said at the signing ceremony, "and we will find a way to make it accessible to students. All we want is for universities to use this technology and advance innovative developments designed for industry.

Director of Geology and Oil-Gas Business Institute Askar Syzdykov, Director of Business Development in the CIS of Stryde Dinara Ablyazina and CEO of Samga Petroleum, graduate of Satbayev University Zhanibek Katrenov took part in the negotiations on cooperation. Madam Ablyazina presented the possibilities of future collaboration and training of Satbayev University’s students in the framework of both summer practice and webinars, with the participation of British specialists of the company.

Stryde, Inc. is a subsidiary of British Petroleum, which has created a breakthrough seismic exploration technology for the field work. These are compact wireless receivers that work for 28 days without recharging and allow to get high-quality images of the subsurface. Stryde provides not only the receivers themselves, but also systems for processing the information obtained with their help. It is a comprehensive ground-based system designed for accurate and safe geodetic surveying, making high-density seismic exploration accessible to any industry.

Now students of Polytech will be able to master the given technology - for the first time they will be able to work with it as part of the summer internship in 2024.
