Successful career right from the start: Bachelor’s degree graduates of Satbayev University are interning in China
Most of Polytech students find work immediately after graduation, and among them are graduates of this year's Bachelor's degree, who received an offer from "Zhetisu wolframs" company - a Kazakh company that builds mining and processing plant for extracting the tungsten ore. After passing the selection, 10 out of 13 young geological engineers, metallurgists, miners and power engineers were sent by their new employer to China for an internship to study metal mining technologies and visit an open-pit ore mining.
Young specialists are trained in the leading industrial center of China Dexing Copper Mine, part of Jiangxi Copper Corporation group of companies. It is a huge holding company, one of the largest companies in China specializing in the extraction of raw materials and processing of copper, precious and rare earth metals. The headquarters is located in Nanchang (Jiangsu Province), where the internship takes place.
- The practice was very interesting and informative. We have received a lot of valuable information for ourselves. Company's employees were always happy to explain all the processes to us and share their knowledge. In addition to practicing in workshops and factories, we also had a great rest in China. We visited five different cities of the country, saw local sights and got a lot of positive emotions, - said Kymbat Yermagambetova, a young specialist in mineral processing.
The trip lasted for a month. As part of the internship, university graduates visited the headquarters, got acquainted with the company’s management and the culture of this amazing country. The main internship takes place at the factories of Dexing Copper Mine. The students were acquainted with Dimine work program and new enrichment technologies and saw the crushing process in the workshops.
Graduates plan to continue their development in the profession – 8 people from the delegation have already enrolled in Satbayev University Master's program to become even more in-demand specialists. We wish them good luck and believe that they will quickly reach the level of an expert and take place in the profession. Satbayev University will do everything to help them in this.
