"Techno women Almaty: Almaty – digital heart" forum was held at Satbayev University
On May 18, the republic’s first technical university hosted IT-forum dedicated to women's leadership and their self-realization in the digital world.
Along with Automation and Information Technologies Institute’s director Raissa Uskenbayeva, the forum organizer was "Digital Transformation" public fund’s head Aziza Shuzheyeva. The forum guests were Vice-Minister of RK Industry and Infrastructure Development Dinara Shcheglova and Deputy Akim of Almaty Assem Nussupova, who welcomed the forum participants.
- It is important for Almaty Akimat to support such a good undertaking, because it is the aid of lasses who want to be realized. Of course, there is a very large layer of traditional occupations where women can be realized, but it is significant for us that they become more progressive, active, and value themselves more. It is very kind of Techno Women, it cares about this side of women's lives," Assem Bekovna said in her speech.
The forum, held at Satbayev University, will be the first step in creating a network community to support the women's initiative that will generate new solutions and projects for residents and guests of the metropolis. It is no accident that Almaty and Satbayev University have become a platform for the given initiative: Almaty is the largest center of entrepreneurship, IT hub and community of more than 2 thousand companies specializing in state-of-the-art technologies, and Satbayev University is one of the centers of technology and students in this city.
Forum speakers held a speech related to opportunities provided by digital economy and new technological industries for lasses and women, shared their experience in implementing the IT projects, talked about programming training programs as well as new digital skills. The speakers talked about how women can expand their economic opportunities and gain financial independence due to new technologies.
Such a tool for them can be a project like BTS Education e-commerce school, mentoring programs to enhance professional growth in high-tech industries, as well as Techno women community itself, which plans to train female digital officers for a large-scale digital transformation in the economy.
