The best in technical sciences: Satbayev University is growing in QS WUR by Subject ranking
QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 (QS WUR by Subject) has again confirmed the high reputation of Satbayev University educational programs in the scientific community and among employers. In QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023, University has improved its position in Petroleum Engineering category, as well as entered several new categories.
Petroleum Engineering educational program is one of the best programs of National Technical Research University named after Kanysh Satbayev, the given EP has been included in QS subject rating for several years. Every year, its position in the rating increases, and the quality improves as well.
In 2023, University took 51-100th places in Petroleum Engineering category, surpassing its last year's result and improving the position by 50 places. This became possible thanks to close cooperation with the industry and a focus on teaching students in the oil-gas industry.
Alongside, this year Satbayev University for the first time entered Physics and Astronomy category at 501-550th place, Engineering - Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing category at 451-500th place, Engineering - Electrical & Electronic category at 351-400th place and the general category Engineering & Technology at 357th place. These achievements testify to the high quality of education provided by University in a wide range of scientific fields.

QS by Subject rating is an annual study conducted by QS World University Rankings international organization, which evaluates university teaching and research in specific areas. This year's ranking covers a total of 54 disciplines grouped into five broad subject areas. The results of the rating help students and scientists to choose the university that provides the best opportunities for scientific work or education.
Satbayev University, as one of the leading technical universities in Kazakhstan, has been demonstrating confident results in QS ranking for several years. Such achievements are the result of the fact that University strives to educate students at the highest level and daily works to improve its performance.
