The Kazakh Language Olympiad dedicated to 150th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynov was held at Satbayev University
On March 29, at Satbayev University, with the support of "Kazakh Language" International Society, Mashani Institute of Basic Education held an intra-university Olympiad in the Kazakh language. The Olympiad was dedicated to the achievements and influence of the nation's teacher, educator, journalist-scientist Akhmet Baitursynov. In 2022, Kazakhstan is celebrating 150th anniversary of the major reformer in the field of education, language and literature.
Five teams took part in the competition, students tested their knowledge and ingenuity in four contests, showing their ingenuity through solving puzzles, answering questions, remembering folk proverbs as well as logical issues.
The contest jury appreciated the students’ work, the chairperson of Commission on Cultural Policy at Almaty Public Council, the acting head of the department for the state language documentation and development Orakbayeva Zh.Zh. attended the given event.
The winners in the Olympiad were:
First place — "Kyzyl takiya" team (Maltai Altynai, Zhumash Zhibek, Sharatbekova Ainur),
Second place — "Konyr takiya" team (Tolkynova Tomiris, Bazarbai Aya, Mukhitov Akylzhan)
Third place — "Zhassyl takiya" team (Uskenbayev Adilet, Akhmetov Nurgissa, Burkitbai Arman)
The winning teams were awarded with cash prizes, diplomas and souvenirs as well.
