The nFactorial summer programming camp has solemnly ended in Almaty
The largest IT incubator in Kazakhstan, nFactorial School, in partnership with “Chevron” company, held a solemn end of the summer camp for the development of AI products. Within the framework of the camp, within 10 weeks, the country's young talents created 100+ unique AI applications.
4100 candidates from 15 top Kazakhstani and international IT universities and 9 schools applied to participate in the camp, from which 100+ best developers were invited to the program.
Following the results of 10 weeks, the Incubator participants created iOS and web applications unique to the country for studying the history and literature of Kazakhstan, applications for generating the fairy tales, developing the agricultural sector and raising the children, and many other educational, social and entertainment projects.
In the final, 21 best IT products with the use of generative artificial intelligence, created by the participants of the incubator this summer, were presented to the jury.
The jury included Minister of RK Science and Higher Education Sayassat Nurbek, Rector of Satbayev University Meiram Begentayev, CEO of Astana Hub Magzhan Madiyev, Kazakhstani journalist, TV presenter, entrepreneur Dinara Satzhan, reinvestment manager of Eurasian division of “Chevron” company Zhanar Gilimova, iOS developer at Apple (California) Yersultan Sapar, director Kuanysh Beissekov, entrepreneur and venture investor Murat Abdrakhmanov, well-known producer and CEO of Interface films media fund Igor Tsai.
This year's winners were Artur Muratov with "ImamAI" app and Ruslan Tasmukhanov with "ObsFeaRe" app (bronze), Alua Musralina with "LoanaAI" app (silver) and Madina Amankeldinova with "AuenAI" app (gold).
"It was difficult to realize my musical idea, but since childhood I wanted to create such an application and this was the main drive to finish the job. We plan to further develop our application, popularize it among novice musicians and add new instruments - I will add dombra next!" - Madina Amankeldinova, the winner of Demo Day, a student of Nazarbayev University, shared her emotions and plans.
In his speech, Minister of Higher Education and Science Sayassat Nurbek noted that artificial intelligence has already become an integral part of our lives and stressed the importance of studying AI technologies. He also added that the Ministry is working to increase the level of literacy in AI field among RK population.
In turn, Dinara Satzhan shared that listening to the speeches of the participants and looking at their projects, she believes that Kazakhstan will occupy the leading positions in artificial intelligence field.
"In 1993, we became one of the first international energy companies to enter into partnership with the young and sovereign Republic of Kazakhstan. We believe that the largest and most important energy in the world is human energy. Therefore, for 30 years our social investments have played a crucial role in advancing the human capital in the country. And nFactorial Incubator is one of the clearest examples of such investments," says Zhanar Gilimova, manager of the reinvestment fund of Eurasian division at Chevron.
nFactorial Incubator is an intensive 10-week training program for the market of high-class junior developers.
