There was held Academic Council meeting at SU
On October 7, 2021, there was held the first meeting of K. Satbayev KazNRTU Academic Council new membership. The given measure began with presenting the awards of RK MES to university employees. The awards were presented by Board Chairman – Rector Meiram Begentayev. The Rector congratulated the awardees and members of new Academic Council and wished them successful and fruitful work.
Academic Council members elected the Chief Scientific Secretary at their first meeting. Candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Kulyash Valiyevna Turmagambetova occupied the mentioned post. Academic Council's work plan for 2021-2022 academic year was approved as well.
Science Department director Baktygali Zh.K. presented "Regulations on remuneration of employees and students at NCJSC K.I. Satbayev Kazakh National Research Technical University for publications in rating (peer-reviewed) scientific journals" project. The main objective of Regulation is to encourage university staff to fasten research and publication activity. Academic Council representatives made adjustments to the project under consideration in terms of material incentives for the authors of articles; the authors that have achieved particularly high performance indicators of scientific and publication activities.
Vice-Rector for Socio-Cultural Development Alimkhanov M.S. presented to Academic Council membership "Regulations on the provision of discounts for educational services and financial incentives (encouragement) for NCJSC KazNRTU students", aimed at social support for individuals belonging to the category of orphans, disabled children, children from socially vulnerable groups of the population (large families, disabled parents, etc.), as well as financial incentives for educational and scientific activities of students. When discussing the project, Rector Begentayev M.M. stressed the importance of supporting young people who showed special talent in science and technology.
Academic Council approved the presented Provisions. The relevant structural units have been given a task for implementing the given regulations.
