To see the reality: Satbayev University was visited by Zhaksybek Kulekeyev
On April 21, Satbayev University was visited by Zhaksybek Kulekeyev, ex-Minister of Education and Science, who met with University administration and delivered a lecture to students on "Current problems of economic development in modern geopolitical conditions" within the framework of SU Talks project.
The lecture by Zhaksybek Abdrakhmetovich was devoted to the modern world situation and scenarios according to which the world economy can develop in the near future. Due to the tense political situation, the world economy is experiencing a slowdown, there is a crisis in the cost of living, all this has a significant negative impact on the prospects for developing the world economy and EAEU growth. Attentive attitude to all these circumstances and the ability to ensure the state’s stability, despite them, is important, and this is the conclusion that the students made from the lecture.
Zhaksybek Kulekeyev is an honored worker of education, Minister, thanks to whom Kazakhstan became part of the Bologna process. A mathematician by education, he graduated from Kazakh State University named after S.Kirov, and devoted almost his entire career to economic problems, achieving the highest positions in the state. Zhaksybek Kulekeyev is the author of seven books, now he holds the position of scientific director at Center for Applied Economics Research.
University administration was pleased to offer Zhaksybek Abdrakhmetovich the title of honorary professor of Satbayev University. In addition to the lecture, the distinguished guest visited UniHUB library and cafe, VR laboratory and History Museum.
