"Topical Problems of the Future Energy" seminar in KazNRTU after K.I. Satpayev

On April 20, the seminar "Topical Problems of the Future Energy" was held at the Institute of High Technology Engineering.On the eve of the international exhibition EXPO-2017 to be opened in Astana this coming June, the seminar was a kind of platform for the exchange of useful information on topical problems of the newest technologies of the future energy industry.

Nurlan Manabayev, PhD, Senior Lecturer from the Department of General and Theoretical Physics gave a talk on the topic of «The main trend development of the solar energy market». Erkin Khidolda,Cand.Tech.Sc., Head of the Department of Power Engineering and Automation of Technological Complexes, spoke on the topic of «Current state of the development of renewable energy».

The presentation “Algal biotech as possible source of energy” by Saul Purton, PhD, Professor of the Department of Structural and Molecular Biology, University College London, aroused particular interest of the audience. The topic of his research is genetic engineering of algae for biofuel production.The participants of the seminar were  students, masters, PhD and faculty members of the Institute of High Technology Engineering.
