Young scientists from Almaty received apartments on behalf of Kazakhstan’s President
Ten young scientists received the keys to new apartments on behalf of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the opening ceremony of the restored building of Sciences Academy.

- Aliya Temirkhan, Combustion Problems Institute
- Yergali Kurmanov, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
- Ramazan Zhanuzak, A.H. Margulan Institute of Archaeology
- Samet Baizhuma, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
- Shynar Kultayeva, International Educational Corporation
- Baurzhan Adilkhan, National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research.
Two of them are representatives of the oldest technical university in the republic, Satbayev University. Zhansaya Omarova is a specialist in standardization, certification and metrology, winner of "Best University Teacher" title in 2023 and "Best Young Metrologist 2017" diploma. Ainaz Abildina is an associate professor of Chemical Processes and Industrial Ecology Department, winner of "Best University Teacher" title in 2022.
State’s Head Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Almaty on May 31, 2024 on the working trip. Trip program included meetings with representatives of the scientific intelligentsia, business circles, heads of a number of international organizations, as well as a visit to the opening ceremony of Sciences Academy building after its restoration.
The overhaul of Gylym Ordassy began in the summer of 2023. The total amount of repair work amounted to about 40 thousand square meters. It was based on the careful approach to historical heritage, Qazaq Stroy company, chosen for the renovation of the building, not only replaced the roof and communications, but also did everything to restore the given architectural monument to its historical appearance.
The support of science remains one of our state’s priorities. Restoring the Sciences Academy building and presenting the keys to young scientists has become a symbol of the state's concern for the development of science and the support of scientific youth. This significant event highlights the importance of young specialists’ contribution to scientific and technological progress and strengthening the intellectual potential of Kazakhstan.
