  • How to fill in the application to participate in state grant contest?

    1. Before applying, select your favorite educational program at Satbayev University, corresponding to the relevant subjects in which you passed UNT.

    2. Write down for yourself the code (column “Groups of educational programs” in the table) of the group of educational programs that includes the program you have chosen.

    3. Indicate the group code and code of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev) in the application for a grant: 029.

    4. The code in "Study trajectories" column is not necessary to use. It is shown for the convenience and to compare the code of specialties of previous years (until 2019) and the new code of educational programs (“Groups of educational programs” column).

Training of highly qualified specialists in the field of medical and environmental engineering and technology, creation and maintenance of tools for diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of human diseases and elaboration of software to solve practical and theoretical problems of biomedical practice. According to US government forecasts, it will be the fastest growing profession in the entire history of America due to the latest developments in technology and medical needs of the aging population; it is among the seven most sought-after professions in the coming decades.

Graduates will receive Academic Master's degree in engineering and technology for 1.5 years of study or Master of technical sciences for 2 years.

You will learn to develop and maintain medical devices, systems, complexes and process information needed in practical healthcare and various fields of biomedical research.

Students will gain practical skills in 30 specialized laboratories furnished with modern equipment and instruments, computer equipment and software. Training uses the latest computer-aided design systems of international level, such as ADEM, SolidWorks, Autodesk, Compass 3D, MSC Nastran, Comsol Multiphysics, and APM Win Machine.

The institute interacts with many foreign technical universities and maintains contacts with professors from TFH University Georg Agricola (Germany), Pennsylvania State University, University of Loraine, AGH University of Science and Technology, CAUST, University of Texas, Braunswille, Liaoning University of Science and Technology (China) and others. Students have international practice in technical universities around the world.

Graduates are in demand in practical health care institutions, design organizations and manufacturers of medical equipment, scientific laboratories, institutes, clinics and medical centers, enterprises engaged in sale and maintenance of medical equipment.
