The program aims at preparing specialists that have knowledge in the technologies of artificial intelligence as well as computer simulation of intellectual activity. The PhD degree is awarded.
The program was compiled on the base of similar programs of leading foreign universities and research centers. Students study the main methods of artificial intelligence on practical examples and get acquaintance with mathematical grounds of machine learning and artificial intelligence in order to apply them to solution of various theoretical and applied problems.
The PhD students receive all skills necessary for Data Science, Data Engineering, Quantitative Analysis (on Python and R languages) simultaneously with all necessary mathematical backgrounds. The following innovative classes are provided in the program:
- Interfaces of multicore systems;
- Artificial neural networks
- Methods of machine learning;
- Applied nonlinear dynamics;
- Parallel programming.
Students learn how to formulate and build models, how to create animation effects for the visualization of the results of their own projects, and how to make effective decisions concerning project management.
During education, all students are assumed to participate actively in research work and be members of different projects that are headed by leading experts in the field and are carried out in cooperation with leading foreign scientific and educational organizations. Also, invited foreign professors (from Germany, France, Slovenia, etc.) can give lectures for PhD students.
The PhD students have an internship at the Institute of mathematics and mathematical modeling, at the Institute of information and computing technologies, in the "National scientific laboratory of information and space technologies". Furthermore, they can have internship and take classes in foreign universities such as Lublin University of Technology (Poland), the University of Bielsko-Biala (Poland), University of L'Aquila (Italy), New York University, Girne American University (island of Cyprus), the University of Windsor (Canada), etc.
The skills obtained by our students will distinguish them in the international IT market. At the time of formation and development of digital economy, our graduates work as leading developers and supervisors in various governmental and business companies.
